Steel Art Collection

The works of art made during the symposium are introduced in the traditional exhibition organized in the Industrial Hall of KÉSZ Kft. every year, and as a result of the success of the previous years these special pieces of art can be seen at several exhibitions later.
The artists dedicate one of their artwork made during the sympozium to KÉSZ Ltd., so the company owns a remarkable collection of steel works of art. Some of them beautify our offices while others are exhibited in the surrounding green areas.

The works of the artists of the Symposium on Steel Sculptural Art of Kecskemét have great success at the competitions advertised by the Jury of Contemporary Arts, as well as at exhibitions both in Hungary and abroad.
Tamás Kopasz, with his competitive works called "Space Gestures I." and "Space Gestures II.", has won the competition advertised in connection with an educational investment in the frames of the Hungarian Universitas Program, by the Eötvös József College.
According to the jury’s opinion, the large-sized works of Tamás Kopasz, the Munkácsy-prize sculptor, called Space Gestures I. and Space Gestures II. provide the most pointful solution for the breast-wall of the internet café of the Eötvös József College of Baja, as well as for the space above the door of the linking corridor. The sculptures of the same shape-world, made from bent metal plates, creating harmony and organic connection with the outside space and with each other, and at the same time with the two inside rooms of different shape and location, are simultaneously classical and irregular.
The works decorating the wall of the internet café of the college and of the corridor leading here have been prepared at the Steel-Structure Manufacturing Centre of KÉSZ Kft.

The invitational visual- and applied-art competition advertised in the frames of the same program in connection with the reconstruction of the hostel building of the University of Kaposvár has been won by Ágnes Deli, with her work called “Unspeakable” made at the Symposium on Steel Structural Art of 2007. This competitive work has been considered by the jury to be worthy to decorate the garden of the University of Kaposvár.

“The sculpture located at the grassy area next to the renewed college buildings animates the not-too-large green field with its ring-shaped form. The work can also be interpreted as street furniture; you can sit on it, you can stand against it, “you can use it”. It represents the circle of life, the eternal return, the breaking and still recovering processes”
– as you can read it in the jury’s appreciation.
